May 2, 2020 · Just saw this thread. Here to throw in my 2cents on Air Force Personnel Command and HPSP recruiters. I did 5 years AF active duty time as a cyber officer and was looking to transition to HPSP . AFPC was not willing to let go of any 17DB (I guess it's changed again), but said they would throw me a $15k/yr retention bonus. This is called the “training day” where we are suppose to do training, however if all the training is complete then it is a free day. So we get 3-4 day weekends every other month.
