I was looking for a Russian capture back then as my first K98, but just picked up what I believe is a Romanian capture from some of the research I've been doing. No idea. There’s such little information that not even K98k forum has talked about it. Slings are even rarer. I just need to figure out if a standard K98 bayo and sling works or not. It is my belief that this group of rifles are factory issued Standard-Modells. in K98k configuration. The first rifle, SN. B 82714 has been previously documented. This rifle being SN. B 82977 is in the same narrow. serial number range of most of the converted Standard-Modells.
