As you know the Duramax does not have a lift pump to push the fuel from the fuel tank to the engine, it uses the injection pump [CP3], to draw/suck the fuel from the fuel tank through all the fuel lines, filter, FICM and then into the CP3. I could ease it up to 50 mph but if I pushed it then back down to no power. Pulled into a parts store,changed fuel filter and they analyzed it. Said it was the fuel pressure regulator. 1. Don't loosen the coolant cap, it's a pressurized system for a reason. By adding pressure you increase the boiling point of water. 2. Your ECT gauge on the dash is not accurate. I know on my LMM it reads 210 consistantly, but when I look at my Edge it is steady around 18x.Aug 2, 2020 · 2016 LML intermittent power loss and recovery. Just did a 3K trip on my 2016 over 3 days. A 2011, 2015, and 2017 they are not duallys with no problem like this one. The new 2018 seems to intermittently when driving and pushing on the accelerator to intermittently hesitate like it is staving for fuel almost like a slight bucking. I have a 2012 GMC 2500 6.6 I have 115,000 miles on it and over the past 50,000 miles I've had to have the DEF injector replaced and the entire DEF tank replaced. Last night I got the "poor" DEF fluid quality message with speed restrictions in 99 miles.Shudder under acceleration over 45mph. I’m getting a shudder/stutter when accelerating above 45mph. When I give it throttle above 45mph and it down shifts and puts the RPMs at 2,000, the shudder/stutter starts until 2,500 RPMs and then goes away. No issues under 45mph, during steady state driving, and it happen less when in tow haul mode.
