Also, make sure nothing is in the base piece you want to deconstruct. It has to be perfectly empty (including yourself) and with no other parts half way completed. So remove all items from lockers and remove those, don't forget about any outside things like lights or solar panels. It also can't have any in-progress construction.If you deconstruct a room the game doesn't keep a blueprint of the room and the items in it for when you rebuild it. It breaks the room down to it's bare elements so there's no real way for that to happen.

sorry for the late response, but look into the subnautica modding discord. With the Nexus introducing the collections feature, a lot of modders are pulling their mods off the nexus.
