Just want to say that this issue still persists. Diablo Immortal started an update and gets stuck at "initializing" . The only way around this is to completely delete the Diablo Immortal folder and reinstall the game from scratch. None of the suggestions mentioned in the last thread worked other than the above.The update program should adjust it’s own priority so it can be still be run when CPU is not otherwise tasked. As for why Updater uses so much CPU power… My personal guess is that Blizzard is using some heavy compression and maybe even patching files rather than just transfering new versions of the files to save bandwidth on the updates.
