Gas tank removal. I need to replace what is called the module support bracket. Essentially it's a piece of plastic that is located under the steering post and several lines clip into it as well as the ECM is bolted to it. This is also the piece that has a plastic post on one side and the belt cover fits over top of the post to help secure it.Yes, the driveshaft has to be removed. Only way to remove the driveshaft is to pop the gear off the chaincase side, pull the caliper/housing from the bearing (special tool) and drop the driveshaft. The bearing is pressed on the driveshaft on the brake side.

There just wasn't enough room between the box and the tank to slip the boots off the carbs. ok so i bought the powermad 8" riser block and i installed it with no extentions.. i routed all the wiring inside the block( removed the gauge cluster to dissconect wiring to get it out of the factory riser and into the new one) just had to crack the banjo bolt on the brake line and turn the 90 degree elbow down, it has lots of slack, for the throttle cable, it comes out through the foam block ...my 01 mach z has a bigger CDI than my 99 Grand touring 800. both have DPM and RER.
