In order to apply for this competitive program, applicants must: Complete the SLHS Intention Form. Ask for 2 recommendation letters to be submitted directly to [email protected] & ACT ranges of the middle 50% of admitted students*: SAT: 1400-1510. SAT Evidenced-Based Reading & Writing: 680-750. SAT Math: 710-780. ACT (not including writing score): 32-34. Applicants who chose to submit SAT or ACT scores: 50%. *Includes only students who chose to submit official or unofficial SAT or ACT scores for consideration.Departmental Honors. Students may earn departmental honors by satisfying the following requirements: Grade point average of at least 3.50 in physics courses. Complete 6 credits of PHY 273 (research), or summer REU project, submit a written report, and give an oral presentation open to faculty and students.
