Feb 1, 2022 · This Big Square Heart Quilt Pattern is made of mostly 5-inch squares so it is definitely precut friendly. (You could use a charm pack or a layer cake cut into fourths. (I used a fat quarter set.) You will need a few larger scraps of fabric as the 16 half square triangles start with 5.5-inch squares. (8 colored and 8 white.) Half Square Triangle Quilt Pattern. All seams are 1/4 inch unless otherwise noted. WOF = width of fabric. Step 1 Make HSTs Using the 2 charm packs (5 inch squares) make 80 half square triangles (HSTs). (1A) Place one Fabric A print charm square right side up and place one Fabric B 5 inch charm square right side down on top of it.
